Olympics

Today marks the end of the Olympics. I never knew that some events that took place ever fell under the category of sports but apparently they do.

When a giant stand among giants, they all appear to be rather ordinary afterall. I think they should throw in a few normal humans with no superhuman atheletic abilities in every race. Only when I can compare and contrast visibly, can I fully appreciate the greatness of feats achieved during the games. Currently, they all seem to roughly run/swim/cycle equally fast or equally slow to me on TV. Only when I see the timings clocked, does it dawned on me that they ALL do run/swim/cycle very fast indeed even if they came in last!

I want to go see the Olympics. When’s that, I don’t know, for I will be working in the future and cannot just run off on the spur off the moment to watch it. Maybe never, which is rather sad.
