A question and an answer

There was a question in my students' assignments as follows:

How would you separate plastic from garbage?

The correct textbook answer would be:

Add water to the garbage. Plastic will be separated from garbage as it floats.

My student answered:

DROWN all the garbage.

He is technically correct.
