At a group meeting,

the professor informed us that he would be on an overseas conference for a week.

While all of us were silently rejoicing inside us,

as there was no-one to bug us about work for one whole glorious week.

My dear lab partner, whose every emotion shows on his face,

was smiling inwardly and outwardly.

Till the professor asked him mildly,

“G, why you look so happy?”

Whereby the entire lab erupted into laughter.
