Heralding in the new year
And so, the last day of the year was spent at Orchard Road
admiring the christmas/new-year light-up since i didn't get to go on Christmas day.
There were not much crowds as most of the people have gravitated towards Marina bay which is the new centre for the new year celebrations.
Suits me just fine as i don't like massive crowds which blocks my path which ever way I turn.
Watched Avatar on new year day.
The 3D effects were a little dissapointing. It was so subtle that I forgot it was there after a while.
I didn't really make any new year resolutions.
Instead, i reflected on things passed this year.
I am unable to change the past. But I have reached this age where I have enough experiences which I can fall back on to tell me what to do and not to do. And all these cumulative experiences, helps me to navigate my way through the year and many more years to come.
It's uncertain how the rest of the year will turn out to be,
but I am glad that I spent my last day and first day of the year this way.
