Blackout

There was a power failure and my entire block was plunged into total darkness. You see the large black patch on the left-hand side of the photo? Thats actually a whole block of rooms and not just empty space there.

Alot of people gathered at the sepak takraw court and starting chatting since there is nothing else we could do with the power failure.

Someone took out a guitar and started singing while strumming some chords with other people joining in.

Another carried around a lantern, more for fun I guess then for the need of light.

A girl upstairs laid out a row of tea light candles and lit them.

Others gathered around the power box trying to solve the root of the problem of the power trip. I heard someone jokingly chastise another saying, ay, you electrical engineering student le, how come u dunno what's wrong?

I turned around to my room-mate and said, this is so rather exciting!
