You know... there has been this campaign over Aids and other STDs. It has come to NUS and is organised by the NUS Student Union (NUSSU) I think. Whenever such a campaign or event is held, students will try to get sponsors to sponsor their events. In this case, NUSSU managed to get Durex to sponsor their event. Their advertisement on this event hung around school and outside every door of my hall. It is in the shape of a condom but what cracked me up was the words on the condom-like advertisement which were 'Present this advertisement at our condom booth to redeem a free DUREX condom.' The action of actually going there to get a free condom is already quite funny. But what I was wondering was whether NUS was promoting sex as long as it was safe sex and better still, wear a durex condom. Haha...
Singaporeans are known for being kiasu and will go for anything free. I wonder how many students will actually go and get a condom. But it sure is an interesting way of promoting their event which I suppose is the main point.
