Came back from Malaysia today. It was one of the nicest trip I ever had... though it cost me to lose a relief teaching opportunity... though I suppose I had to go to Malaysia and don't regret going cos my parents want me to go as we only see our relatives once a year. Sigh... there were sad and happy things... I guess I was really high and really down on this trip.
I feel so sad when I think of my grandmother... Financially... I cannot help her... Medically... I also cannot help her. I am too far away to do any good by visiting her. I feel this sense of utter helplessness... though its really not my duty to provide her with food and shelter. I feel very... unfillial though I did try my best when she was here.
On a brighter note... I have a new baby cousin. She is very cute.
My niece grew up... she likes dinosaurs. ????? She knows how to press the button to replay 'Jurasic Park' again and again just to watch the dinosaurs.
I realised... I only see my relatives a maximum of 36 times in my whole 18 years... if we go back twice a year which we usually do.
Its funny how we keep bumping into people we know. In korea.... we bumped into my family doctor in a theme park. In Thailand... my father bumped into his colleague. In Hongkong... my father bumped into another colleague. In Malaysia... my father saw uncle siewkin even though our families just parted a week ago after our Hongkong trip. What a small world it is.
