Being a local tourist in Singapore

Went to the Henderson Waves some time back. WARNING to anyone who wants to walk the Southern Ridges trail, start from the West Coast Park side of the trail, not from the Mount Faber side of the trail. This time round, I started up from the Mount Faber side of the trail where there were so many flights of stairs which made me feel so tired. I promptly fell asleep for 2 hours on the Henderson Waves and woke up only to climb back down the hill when the sun was gonna set. LOL…

Surprisingly, Har Par Villa is very near NUS! There’s free admission and so off we went to visit the place. It was really weird. Besides the usual life-size figurines of Chinese mythology, there were figures of koala bears and gorillas too. It was just really weird.

Results came out and my cap managed to go up that little bit required for me to do honours. But after three years, one thing I realized is that I don’t love chemistry the way I am supposed to. After next year this time, I am ready to say goodbye to chemistry. So very sad but true. Whatever debts I have to pay, I would have paid it by then. But still, I am very thankful for this opportunity to do honours. It opens up a lot more doors for me to places where I want to go. Thanks to the people who encouraged me along the way when I was really doubtful whether I could pull up my cap this sem. =)

Yeah, but e horrendous stairs only started from the bottom of mount faber.

West coast park side has some stairs, but less stairs.

I learned that we should nv try to defy gravity. Its always easier to go down stairs den to go up stairs!

Oh! u attempted u southern ridges trail before?

Ooo, I climbed up Marang Trail... All the way to NUS... Came out behind science park there...

Took me a whole day... plus rest for lunch (tapao-ed, so was a little picnic) Not rushing, took our time... started at 8am, ended about 5. Took lots of photos, sight-seeing, etc

I want to go again... This time with BOP's camera...
