Stupid bets

I like making bets with someone which I usually win until recently. Haha...

One bet involved the question of 'Do birds have teeth?' which I said 'yes' while that person said 'no'. Modern-day birds of course do not have teeth so I won the bet. Prehistoric birds apparently had teeth though. That was nice, I earned some money and learnt something too.

I lost a bet today because of this saying.

Red sky at night, sailor's delight.
Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning.

I always thought it went along the lines of

Red sky at dusk, sailor's delight.
Red sky in morning, sailor's warning.

There goes my one dollar.
