Goldfishes in the pond
When I went home yesterday, I heard some very strange news. One of the goldfishes apparently got carried away by a bird who meant to eat it! This morning, my parents went to buy new goldfishes to replace the missing ones. The bird pecked the plastic bag that contained the goldfishes, wanting to get at them.
My parents got rather fed up with the bird and went to buy some plastic netting to cover the surface of the pond, to ensure that our goldfishes will not fall prey to the bird anymore.
I don't really blame the bird for making off with one of our goldfishes. Because its only doing whats natural to it, looking for food to survive. But we call it a pest because it has overstepped boundaries only visible to humans into our territory and took off with the goldfishes, which we considered 'ours', to which we have a duty to protect.
