U know how I commented that my workplace looks like some kind of childcare centre? It really is a kind of childcare centre… just that its used to house adult children. Yesterday was Easter Sunday. My colleagues who all were once teachers are running about the whole place playing ‘amazing race’ trying to find Easter eggs to win a prize. Several of them have stopped by my desk to ask me whether I happened to have any clues. Haha… I am very amused. Hopefully… I will be able to smile while working when I start working like them. Something so simple… yet something that we forget how to do as we grow older. I am getting fatter… I have eaten 5 Easter eggs given by them wrapped in colourful paper and ribbons.
I am keeping the colourful aluminium wrappers that were used to wrap the chocolates to put in my diary… not this blog (diary) of course but a real diary. I have glued a lot of things that hold fond memories for me into that diary….my airplane ticket…. My bullet train ticket from Japan… this piece of plain red paper from Thailand which the Thais told me it will bring me luck… my mothers KINDERGARTEN fees receipt (haha)… my father’s old car HDB parking license… the set of stamps my father bought from Rome… my friend’s baby photo… my hamster’s photo… my Disneyland ticket and so on. Feel that keeping things like my Disneyland ticket is more valuable than buying some souvenier from Disneyland. I kept 4 of my baby teeth too… but too bad I cannot glue it into my diary. Haha…
U know.. there was always one thing I wanted to glue into my diary. Ok… before I continue… please remember that I did not do so no matter how much I want too. Its… ear wax. My pri school friend really did that… plus preserving a piece of her skin too. I think that ear wax is the most beautiful piece of ‘dirt’ that our body can produce. It looks so delicate and papery… and each time its produce… it has a different structure… its almost like art. Up to now… I am still very amazed by ear wax. Yeah… but shall not continue cos I think u r grossed out by now. Haha…
